Key Shoulder Fired Missiles Program

The MATADOR is a disposable anti-armour weapon system developed by Germany, Israel, and Singapore that measures 90 millimetres (3.5 inches). It is based on the same concepts as the German-Singaporean Armbrust design. The MATADOR began development in 2000, and it eventually replaced the German-Singaporean Armbrust Light Anti-Tank Weapon, which had been in use since the 1980s. The MATADOR was developed in partnership with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and the Dynamit Nobel Defence (DND) joint team by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA).

The UK Ministry of Defence has given Saab a 229 million pound ($278 million) deal to supply the British Army with next-generation light anti-tank weapons (NLAW). After supplying the weapons to Ukrainian forces to protect against the Russian invasion, the purchase will replace the British Army's arsenal of shoulder-launched missiles. In addition to the thousand units planned from the latest arrangement, a separate contract will deliver 500 NLAWs to the UK by 2023. The NLAW combines the capability of small anti-armor weapons with that of large, crew-operated guided missile systems, allowing warfighters to intercept targets from above. A single soldier can use the missile system to engage heavily armoured vehicles from a distance of 20 to 800 metres.

Instalaza has been given a contract by Spain to buy C90 rocket-propelled grenade launchers. The Spanish Army has given the Spanish firm Instalaza a €22.4 million contract to procure C90 shoulder-fired, one-man operated rocket propelled grenade launchers. Six different models and training systems are included in the contract. Three versions of Instalaza's C90-CR and three versions of its C90-CS will be available. The Instalaza C90, also known as the M3, is a 90mm disposable, shoulder-fired, and one-man controlled system that can be equipped with a VN38-C night vision equipment with a 4x magnification for complete night combat capability, according to the MilitaryLeak website. Instalaza S.A., a Spanish business, invented and created the first C-90 in the late 1980s, and it was used for Spanish Army.
